Christina Lopez worked with the Foundation for Media Alternatives, an organization which
assists citizens and communities in the Philippines in the use of information technology for
democratisation and popular empowerment. In this interview, she discusses online safety
practices for human rights groups, and some of the threats human rights defenders face
today online. She describes how HRDs can protect themselves and where they can go for
advice and support.
