On June 3rd (Washington DC 12pm \/ Amsterdam 18pm), Access Accountability hosted a 1.5 hour panel discussion and Q&A on the topic of how civil-society and investigators can effectively use civil society-generated data. Panelists from different investigative mechanisms discussed the challenges and opportunities to using civil society data, while civil society panelists examined how their data can feed into investigative mechanisms, and other applications including memorialization, advocacy, and truth-seeking. The goal was to produce a better shared understanding of each side’s needs, and applications for pursuing the shared goals of truth and justice.<\/span><\/p>\n

We hope this discussion session will produce further opportunities for follow-up knowledge exchange and mutual support.<\/p>\n
